Abbots Bromley, an attractive village in the Trent valley, is seven miles north-east of Rugeley, and 7 miles south of Uttoxeter. It is situated just one mile of the Blithfield Reservoir.
Abbots Bromley has some pleasant old buildings but is best known for the annual Horn Dance on Monday following the first Sunday in September. 'Deermen' and other traditional characters make an early morning start and tour local farms before the climax of the dance in the main street, where deermen act out mock combat with deer heads and reindeer antlers.
Abbots Bromley is also the home of one of the Woodard Schools, a Girls' school formerly known as the School of St.Mary and St.Anne, and Richard Clarke Primary School.
The parish also includes Bagot's Wood, the largest remaining part of the Needwood Forest.
