The Setauket Presbyterian Church is probably the fifth oldest Presbyterian Church in the United States, having been organized circa 1660. In May of 1661 Setauket came under the jurisdiction of Connecticut and had to comply and live within that Colony's laws and orders, and each town was required to have a "Man of God among there (sic) members.
