This road leads to Panhalgar, a village near Lonere. History has it that the great Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had visited this place en route to his conquest of the Fort Raigad. There still exists a route that leads to the foot of the Raigad Fort. Excellent place for trekkers and mountaineers alike.
