USCGC Bluebell is the lead ship of her two-member class of 100ft Inland Buoy Tenders currently in service in the U.S. Coast Guard, laid down at the Birchfield Boiler Co. Shipyard in Tacoma, WA in September 1944 and was commissioned into service in April 1945.

Homeported in at USCG Station Portland, the Bluebell and her crews primary mission is to service the Aids to Navigation in her area of responsiblity which covers 500 miles of the Columbia River and its tributaries. Presently the second-oldest Cutter in USCG service, the Bluebell continues to serve as part of MSU Portland, Sector Columbia River in the USCG 13th District.
