It was built in 1757 for Jean Christophe Joseph Vander Maesen on the site of a fortified house: a charter of 1297 contains the names of Henri Esneux squires and Guillaume d'Avionpuits, brothers, recognizing not possess any rights in the forest Tilff. Does that mean that the 1st known d'Avionpuits owners were from the family of knights d'Esneux? In 1350the domain is in the hands of Jean d'Argenteau and 1400, possession of Conrad Schoevort. The area in 1857, passed to William Dallemagne, industrial in Sclessin and Jules Dallemagne, senator and finally Georges Dallemagne, engineer and Consul of Norway in Liege which made adding the terrace overlooking the main entrance. In 1964, Arnold Charles Theodore Pulinx installed an arts and cultural center. Today it is home to exceptional luxury apartments whose walls have kept the traces of the works of extension and restoration of their successive owners. The farm after being exploited for the sole benefit of Chatelain, was rented out to many farmers & thereafter, the farm was separated from the castle and bought by the Hansen family.
