Didcot A Power Station was a coal and gas-fired power station, which ceased operation on 22 March 2013.
On 23 February 2016 emergency services had to attend Didcot A after reports of an explosion. Thames Valley Police were called after 4pm and a "major incident" has been declared. Currently, there is one confirmed fatality and an unknown amount of casualties, with emergency services unsure whether it was down to a planned demolition, the power station collapsing or an explosion at the plant.
