This the area that comprises the Kibali Gold Project which is owned by Randgold Resources with 45%, AngloGold Ashanti Limited with 45%, and Congolese parastatal SOKIMO (10%). The project, previously known as the Moto Gold Project, was jointly acquired from Moto Goldmines Ltd in a deal completed October 15, 2009. There project area is made up of 10 permits totaling approximately 1,835 square kilometers.
