The Doubletree Hotel, San Jose, was built in 1982. Its ten floors have 505 guest rooms. All rooms provide air-conditioning, phones, TVs, high-speed Internet access, radios, coffeemakers, mirrored closets, irons and ironing boards, and dressing areas with hair dryers next to combination baths. Windows are double-glazed, but rooms facing the freeway have noisy balconies. Pool-view units are preferable, with the best on floors 9 and 10, where guests enjoy premium perks. Some rooms are a long haul from the reception and other public areas.

  • The DoubleTree has been a ‘Fan’ Favorite for over twenty five years. While it is no longer the venue for BayCon, it does include many other ‘Genre’ events such as, Further Confusion, World of Horror, Con Xtreme, Costume Con, SiliCon and many others. Many writers, artists and media professionals have enjoyed these events.
