The Swiss Conference of Rectors of Universities of Teacher Education COHEP was constituted as specialist conference within the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education EDK in 2002 and advises this body on all issues related to teachers and teacher education. COHEP works closely with the Rectors’ Conference of the Swiss Universities CRUS and the Rectors’ Conference of the Swiss Universities of Applied Arts and Science KFH, as well as other organizations that are involved in education.
The Swiss Conference of Rectors of Universities of Teacher Education changed its name to COHEP for all of the languages spoken in Switzerland – but the body’s tasks and involvement remain the same.
