The Monastery of Our Lady of Holy Hope is a Benedictine priory. In 1976, the abbot of the Abbey of Notre-Dame du Bec (Bec-Hellouin), Dom Paul Grammont-Marie († 1989) sent two brothers to Mesnil-Saint-Loup to re-found the Monastery of Notre-Dame de la Sainte-Espérance, and establish a small monastic Community. The Priory is dependent on: Congregation of Monte Oliveto.
Today (2012) the monastery has six permanent Benedictine monks.The buildings range from the 1800's , with major restorations after the 1950's.
