(Outline approximate.)

This was the site of the Manitou Mansions, a historic resort hotel built in 1874. It was later also known as the "Beebee House".

The hotel complex originally included, in a separate building located just to the east of the main hotel building, a restaurant called the "Maison Dorée", operated by Numa Vidal. This building would later become incorporated into the main building as the result of an expansion.

The hotel also later included a ballroom, which was also used as a meeting hall, called "Saratoga Hall".

The Mansions suffered major fires in 1915 and 1924. The damage from the second fire was never repaired, and it was demolished in 1925.
