This club finds its recognition from the play ground adjacent to it. This is one of the very old play grounds in Behala. Initially it was a dumping ground of the Behala Corporation, subsequently the local residents created it a play ground. This ground has produced many footballers who have played in the Calcutta League. The eminent footballers of this ground are, Kamal Ghose (who has played for East Bengal), Arup Ghose (who played for Bata,Bimal Das (Eastern Railway), Alok Das. Besides them Santi Majumder, Bulan, have also plays here practice match. This ground also hosts a cricket coaching camp.   • i am also a foot baller. playing for tata. i am staying just adjacent to the ground. the famous kali puja of lunar club is beyound imagination. babuda(Mishra Babu) and Ja(Jatha) are the two famous character created by this club. Gakul mistry is another piece. Acna is another item. There are many of such cultivated by this club. Hip hip hurry!!! three cheers for Lunar club.
  • this ground has lost its glamor it enjoyed in the past...at present the football fever or mania does not exist...but among others footballers one should not forget SISIR CHAKRABORTY, TUTUL SARKAR, ANIMESH BOSE, KITANSHU CHANDA,PINTU MAJUMDAR, BALAI DAS AND others. THE LAST TALENT TO BE MENTIONED IS AVISHEK DAS, WHO IS NOW IN T.F.A.

  • Everybody should know the contribution of late Naruda(sen gupta), Uttamda,Manuda,Anilda(dasbondhu),late Ajoyda to built the club building as well as green play ground.Who is Balai Das and Kitanshu Chanda?I love my club very much.
