VillageCoco Charcoal sources, manufacturers, licenses, markets and distributes coconut charcoal. It is used for a number of purposes including metallurgical fuel, cooking fuel, industrial fuel, automotive fuel, purification and filtration, art, horticulture, medicine and smoking for cooking food usually in a BBQ.

VillageCoco Charcoal is manufactured from coconut shell, not from wood, which is a waste product that is normally discarded by farmers after the coconut meat (copra) is removed. The shells are ‘cooked’ to create charcoal by our farmers using a technique that requires no additional energy resources.

VillageCoco Charcoal is free of petroleum, mineral coal, limestone or wood. They are also sourced from coconut plantations that do not use chemicals, are not GM free, have positive energy and greenhouse footprints and that comply with national labour regulations and laws.

VillageCoco Charcoal packaging material is all recycled paper and we use natural inks to ensure that our product’s packaging has the minimum environmental impact.

VillageCoco Charcoal is therefore environmentally friendly, economical to use, biodegradable and safe for storage.
