Defensive walls - Old Town Dubrovnik

The medieval city of Dubrovnik is located in the wider area of the village Višnjica, municipality Ilijaš. It is mentioned in written sources in June 1404. In a contract written on June 11, 1404, the Vlachs Krajsalići, Bogeta Nenković and Milat Brajković, undertook to transport 60 loads of salt to Bosnia, each of which weighed 336 liters. They were obliged to transfer the goods to those places assigned to them by Kvalec Petrović and Radašin Bakviković, ie. to Deževica, Podvisoko and to a place called “Doboruonich”, ie Dubrovnik.
Dubrovnik belonged to Prince Batić Mirković, buried under a stećak tombstone on a nearby site in the Kopošići village. The Commission to Preserve National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina has declared this property a National Monument of BiH.
In the 13th century, the area between Sarajevo and Visoko fields belonged to the Bosnian parish of Vidogošća-Vogošća. The main center of this parish, in the second half of the 14th century, until the end of the 15th century, was the aforementioned city of Dubrovnik.
