Wahnerheide. One of the early special weapon sites (no watchtowers, no hardened facilities and primitive lighting). The site - under NOTHAG command - contained artillery grenades, Atomic Demolition Munitions and Honest John missile warheads for these 1st Belgian Corps artillery and Engineer units:
3 Arty Bn (3A) Köln-Dellbrück - Honest John
6 Arty Bn (6A) Soest - 155mm
14 Arty Bn (14A) Werl - Honest John
17 Arty Bn (17A) Altenrath - 155mm
20 Arty Bn (20A) Werl - 203mm
1st and 6th Engineer Bn
Site supervision: 59th Ordnance Brigade
Site security: US Army 33rd Missile Detachment
In 1962 the site was disbanded and the remaining Belgian Corps units relocated to Werl
