Former Uthuisen WSA, later a Luftwaffe conventional ammo storage and after base closure e sold as private property.
Facility was used from 1967-1972 as storage for the 36 B-43 free fall nuclear weapons of USAFE Det 3 50th Tac Fighter/Bomber Wing stationed at Hopsten airbase.
These 36 weapons could eventually be used by the German Luftwaffe 36th Jagdbomber Geschwader in case of a WW3 outbreak.
