Sri Maruthi Builders started its operations in 1970s with Construction related contracts. Some of the prestigious works undertaken were the Peenya Industrial Layout, Electronic City and some infrastructure projects in Whitefield. Its part of the Maruthi Group with interests in Hospitality, Power Generation, Education and others. In 1993 the Concrete Sleeper plant was established in Yeswantpur, Bangalore, the Garden city and the Silicon Valley of India. The main activity of Sri Maruthi Builders, however, is related to the Indian Railways. This partnership with the Indian Railways is continuing for more than two decades.
