One of the most prestigious schooling institutions in India, YPS was established in 1948 under the patronage of the then Maharaja Yadavindra Singh. This school is a member of the prestigious Indian Public Schools' Conference. The School is affiliated to I.C.S.E. and the medium of instruction is English. The only other branch of this school is situatedYadavindra Public School,Mohali. The school offers most extensive and all round development to its students. Apart for its olympic size athletic stadium this co-ed school has swimming pools for junior and senior students, dedicated hockey ground, cricket stadium, horse riding grounds etc. The school owns several well bred horses. The school stadium has been used innumerable on state functions such as Republic/Independence day parade.   • this is i would say a dream destinations of many across the country....not just becoz of the excellent allumni dat it boasts of but becoz of the way a child is taught,scolded...in short brought up here...i m an old yadavindrian...nd no1 cud tell u dat betr!!really!!....it was my home fr 14 years where i came as atoddler and passed out as a mture teenager to fit in d lifestyle of delhi where im now studyinj in st. stephens college....and dat was possible becoz i had learnt it in d scool itself hw to adjust...i had learnt hw to b nice to ppl...nd above all nt to bcom a snob 4 sch ppl r nt welcm in ny society of the wrld!!nd hence can never b at peace!!!the scool trips nd treks...all those ipsc swimming and cultural meets dat i took part in...will always remain a part of my fond memories,nd from all those lectures of mr. js sidhu on humanity and spirituality to his "khapp"(wen he was in a gud mood),and mrs.H.K's punjabi classes where v used to hav the paranthas dat v gt frm home....mr. arora's unmatchable teaching skill's,and mr. duggal's nd mr. bajaj's encouraging comments alongwith the vicey's(S.S.C)commandin voice are all an integral part of me tday and i wud nver wanna part wid dm!!! three cheers fr yps.....hip hip hurray! hip hip hurray!! hip hip hurray!!
