St. Helena Hospital and the St. Helena Center for Health is a Seventh-day Adventist-run hospital located in the Napa Valley, California, between the town of St. Helena, and the community of Angwin, which is home to Pacific Union College. St. Helena Hospital was established in 1878 as the Rural Health Retreat. After the turn of the century, St. Helena Hospital became a full-service community hospital. The St. Helena Center for Health opened in 1969, maintaining the hospital’s emphasis on whole-person wellness. St. Helena Hospital operates St. Helena Hospital Clearlake in Lake County and a 61-bed behavioral health hospital in Vallejo that provides mental health care services for children, adolescents and adults across northern California.
