Sold in 1918 to city of Newport for $1, site transferred to U.S. Govt. for naval purposes.
Also "requisitioned" by the city of Newport for the expansion of the Newport Naval Sation were the estates/villas of Kate Hunter Dunn (G. C. Mason, architect, 1878); Hugh L. Willoughby; and C. Francis Bates.
