The Laleli Mosque built by Ottoman emperor Mustafa III from 1760–1763.
The name of the mosque derive from Laleli Baba, who was recognized as parent by Mustafa III.
The architect of the mosque was Mehmed Tahir Aga, but probably the senior architect of the period, Haci Ahmed Aga contributed to the construction.
The main dome rests on 8 columns, its diameter is 12,5 meters, and its outer height is 24,5 meters.
There are two minarets each having one balcony.
