100,000-square-foot multi-tenant warehouse, formerly belonging to Jones & Laughlin Steel Company. It was apparently built sometime after 17 January 1924, when the Wall Street Journal reported J&L's plans to build "the largest steel warehouse between New York and Chicago, covering an entire city block on the south side."
