  • The Mekong Lodge is a beautifully thought out and picturesque place to stay. Room was a good size with a quaint outdoor bathroom and shower (but covered and completely private). Veranda with a view of the Mekong River had reclining bamboo chairs so you could watch the sunset in comfort. Room was clean and comfortable with the bonus of a memory foam mattress and powerful air conditioning. While we were at dinner the staff came in and put the mosquito nets up which was excellent service. Dinner and breakfast were both plentiful and varied with attentive waiting staff. Bikes are available to take around the local area to enjoy the views but be prepared for the ferries if you want to cycle a circuit - great fun!
