The towns Adipur and Gandhidham provided home to the refugees from Sindh, Pakistan during the partition. Founded by Late Bhai Pratap. His statue stands today at the Adisar Pond in Adipur.

Gandhidham is the town that provides all the logistics and support to Kandla Port - One of the Top ten ports in India.

  • Adipur: Though I have been staying in Pune for almost 10 years now, I still remember Adipur as my Birth place which has amazing visitor's spot's like Swami Lilashah Kutiya, Adisar Pond, etc. I can't forget that Bhai pratap samadhi and the ground close to it where we used to play cricket and that huge Maitri school opposite to which my residence even stands today. Gandhidham: Though a very small time, but still it has all the luxury items like branded stuff, showrooms, amazing outlets for shopping for eatable. In short, very cool and sweet place to live (though the temprature is on the extreme ends in summer as well as winters)

  • I m born in adipur aswell. Thou I live in spain now i still miss my birth place. I have some childhood frnds and relatives still living there. when i was small i always use to think i´ll never leave adipur and now i m in spain :-). The town i live is similar to adipur, peaceful at the same time fun oriented, Basically a tourist area. Yea i remeber in the rainy season the whole town (nearly 90%) use to come out on the street and had garam-garam Pakoda (Indian snacks). Ohhh it was fun, there are so many sweet-memories related to Adipur. Have fun!

  • Adipur is an awesome place to live. After staying abroad for more than 12 years now, I am more used to bustling life. Adipur is a calm personified town. I remember Pune once used to be known as an retired persons paradise (it is nowhere near that now). I would like to say Adipur does posses that description now. Though the climate in Summer goes to extreme levels. It can be around 45 degrees in May & June. With more and more industrialization, it is only expected to grow. Earlier it was one of the least crime affected places in India. Though, now with the arrival of more and more people from other parts of country (especially UP, MP & Bihar), the crime rate has skyrocketed. The illegal activities have grown by leap and bounds. But still, being my birthplace, I love the place too much. I would love to contribute to make it more clean and green. Overall, people are more or less happy go lucky over there. Gandhidham is the business hub and bit more hustling than Adipur for obvious reasons. Usually, people over there like to work in Gandhidham or Mundra and stay in Adipur. Have abundant of memories, good & bad.
