1, 7, and 11 Evergreen Place are a block of skyscrapers built between 1979 and 1984. They are Winnipeg's 8th, 12th, and 9th tallest buildings respectively. During 1997 several riverside apartment buildings and parking garages in Osborne were flooded. Although I cannot confirm it, I have heard that during this time the mechanical devices in evergreen place were in the basement and so when they flooded the elevators stopped working and residents had to be evacuated. If that is true, it has since been remedied.
