  Lassoi is a Historic village.Its name is expected to be derived from the punjabi/hindi word Rassoi which means Kitchen,It is supposed that Pandwas prepared their food at this place.village lassoi has its origin point at BABA Jakh. Baba Jakh is worshiped by every native of this village.There are many spiritual places at village lassoi . Guru Nanak ( 1st guru ji) and Guru Hargobind ( 6th Guru ji)has visited this village,A well managed Gurudwara Building has been constructed at this place.Apart from this A Dera of Dadu Panthi Sadhu Sant Maru Ram is situated in the out skirts of the village which is a spot of faith for many residents of the area. An ancient Temple of Mata Asa Devi is also situated in the village, it was built by Maharaja of Riast.other places of worship include two Gurdwaras Gurdwara Lo-sar,Gurdwara Shahid sar,Gurdwara Ravidas Bhagat, Thakur Dwara, Masjid and Balmik Mandir. the village has almost every facility as Govt Primary School, Govt Sr, Sec School, rural health dispencry,veternary hospital OBC bank, post office etc.
