The largest lab of IBM's Research Division, and its headquarters. Employs about 1200 people, and with a subsidiary lab about 10 miles south in Hawthorne. The building was designed by Eero Saarinen and the first, main section was completed in 1961. The building is a section of an annulus of about 140 width with a radius at the front of about 740 feet, and including nearly 120 degrees of arc.

The Watson artificial intelligence program that competed in Jeopardy! was developed here.
