San Nicolas is located in the Western side of Chinatown, at the edge of the Pasig River surrounded by the districts of Binondo and Tondo. Formerly a part of Binondo during spanish period. A lost jewel in Philippine Heritage, this district has kept its 19th-century houses, which symbolizes the wealthy lives of the people who used to live there. Just like the houses Silay City and Vigan City it is beauty. Unfortunately it seems these houses won't last for long.
In 2007 the population of San Nicolas was 43,225 and it had 15 barangays, #s 268 to 276 and 281 to 286.
