Completed in 1982, Kinta Heights is the first high rise building built in Ipoh. This 20-storey building is a council flat built by Ipoh City Council (www.mbi.gov.my/) for those with limited income. Going by the state government’s guidelines on eligibility for low-cost units, only those having combined family income of less than RM2,500 a month can apply to live in this apartment. The project was part of the efforts by the state government to introduce the new generation of affordable homes since 1980s.

  • just across the road from the flat (in front of the morning pasar), there are few nasi kandar shops ... the best in ipoh town.
