Napatan Palace, probably built over an Egyptian original; it has at least five, possibly six, superimposed levels: 1) Ramses II (ca. 1290-1224 BCE), 2) early Napatan (ca. eighth century BCE), 3) Anlamani and Aspelta (ca. 620-600 BCE) [destroyed by fire at about the time of the historical invasion of Psamtik II, 593 BCE], 4) later Napatan rebuilding (ca. 500 BC), 5) Harsiotef (ca. 400-370 BCE), and 6) Amanislo (third century BCE). By early Meroitic times the site of B 1200 was abandoned and a new palace (B 100) was built about 40 m in front of it www.jebelbarkal.org/
