Gazivoda Lake

Gazivoda Lake (Albanian: Liqeni i Gazivodës; Serbian: Газивода) is an artificial lake on the border of Kosovo[a] and Serbia. It is the largest lake in Kosovo. Gazivoda Lake has an area of 11.9 km2 (4.6 sq mi), of which 9.2 km2 (3.6 sq mi) belong to Kosovo and 2.7 km2 (1.0 sq mi) belong to Central Serbia. The lake is formed by the damming of the Ibar River, which flows into the lake. The border between Serbia and Kosovo actually goes down the centre of the lake for approximately two kilometres.

  • This is a very nice place. There is a tiny little family-restaurant near the UN boundary post there. I really enjoyed the cuisine.
