This holy place visited and sung of by Saint Arunagirinathar and currently called Chinnambedu is situated 35 kms from Madras on the Gummidi Poondi route. Bus no. 533 runs from Chennai Koyambedu bus stand to the temple it depart at 6:15am, 7:20am, 10:00am, 11:05am, 1:50pm, 3:00pm, 5:50pm, 7:00pm. Bus no 547 running from Mint to periyapalyam also reaches this temple it departs at 5am, 6:30am, 8:30am, 9:55am, 11:30am, 1pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 5:30pm, 7pm. If traveling by bus nos. 131, 131-A, 132, 133-A, alight at Agaram from where the temple is only one kilometre distance.The Temple opens at 7am in the morning and 5pm in the evening.

TIMINGS : Tuesdays 05:00 am to 09:00 pm & 3:00 pm to 09:00 pm Monday, Wednesday,Thursday,Friday,Saturday : 07:00 am to 12:00 pm & 05:00 pm to 08:00 pm Sundays: 06:00 am to 01:00 pm & 04:00 pm to 08:30 pm Tuesday timing will followed during During kiruthigai. Prayers: you need to go 6 weeks.(Thursday means you need to go all the Thursdays continuously for the next five weeks) For unmarried male / female to get married you need to buy three malai (poo malai) during your first week visit all the consecutive 5 weeks no need to buy malai. just go to the temple and pray the god. it is your wish you can perform archana/just light the aghal with ghee or oil it is available near by the temple. Expect Tuesday and kiruthigai the flower ring (poo malai) price will be less for small flower ring ( poo malai) you can get it for Rs 30/flower ring. For other prayers (house construction/job/etc.,) one flower ring (Poo malai) is enough for first week.then the rest of the week just go to the temple and pray the god. it is your wish you can perform archana/just light the aghal with ghee or oil it is available near by the temple. Transport: own vehicle is best to visit this temple at correct time . BUS: from RED-HILLS you will get only two route buses one is 547 and other one is 533 every 40 minutes one bus is available these two route buses stops in front of the temple.from red hills to temple the bus fare is Rs17. MISC: outside of the temple you can get fresh vegetables,groundnuts,bunch leaves etc., Please don't bargain with them because they are all farmers from the same and surrounding villages.
