  • (Copied and pasted from duplicated place tag/ Text by Rickyrab (ID: 6996) and RogerR (141428)) Said to be the world's busiest train station. Has department stores attached to it. Rush hour is a memorable experience--trains disgorging thousands of passengers who flow in rivers from one platform to the other, so crowded they can only shuffle. This link leads to a map which doesn't begin to do it justice--it only shows the JR platforms, not many private line platforms or the kilometers of concourses that fan out under the streets of Shinjuku: http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/estation/e_shinjuku.html
