Kallar Bridge

A large single span steel bridge built in 1925 on the highway to Coonoor.. The bridge built in 1925 by Jessop and Co., Calcutta, spanning the Kallar River, still functions to this day. The ruins of an earlier brick bridge, overgrown with creepers, is a mute witness alongside.
