Jaspur is a city and a municipal board in Udham Singh Nagar district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand..
*Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Jaspur had a population of 39,048. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Jaspur has an average literacy rate of 60%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 67%, and female literacy is 52%. In Jaspur, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age. Hindi is most common languages here but people also understand Punjabi and English.

Jaspur is located at 29.28°N 78.82°E.[2] It has an average elevation of 320 metres (1050 feet). It is a small city, 45 km from Corbett National Park, Ramnagar and 210 km from new delhi.It is 110 km From Nainital.it is the border town of Uttarakhand.
Transportation
It is well connected to all major cities of states and region. NH-74 passes through it which connects jaspur to major cities like Haldwani, Kashipur, Ramnagar, Haridwar and Dehradun. A state highway also runs through it connecting it to Muradawad via Thakurdwara.
*Culture....
The majority of the population is Hindu or Muslim along with a smaller Sikh community. The city is an example of religious harmony and there has never been any incident of communal strife. All the people take part in other's festivals. Hindus are invited in Roza-Iftar party, Muslims also take part in Hindu festival Holi.
*Economy
Jaspur has evolved from a village into a big town. it has a traditional wood Mandi and some agro based processing industries, Although many people in the city are self employed and run small shops, the economy of the city is mainly based on agriculture as There are also big sugar industrial units near the city.there are many paper mills as well.
