It is one of the largest lake in Mahabubnagar as well as in Andrapradesh. Its having years of history, has dug during Kakatiyas' rule.... but still not well recognized by the govt. hence people from Khilla ghanpur are migrating to Mumbai, Goa, and other places for work and to earn money, even having this much of sources because of not development people r suffering from water scarcity during Summer. its Really pathetic. khilla ghanpur is not a poor village but became poor because of undevelopment.

  • It is 25 kms from Mahabubnagar and Wanaparthy. If you are coming on Hyderabad to Bangalore road, Take left at Bhuthpur flyover ( Bhuthpur flyover will be there after Jadcherla Flyoveron Hyderabad to Bangalore High way) , After 6.1 kms Then a Village name Kotha Molgara comes, Take right after that Village, from there it will be in 10 kms range, you can see Khilla Ghanpur
