Commonly known as "El Angel", this monument is crowned at the top by a winged victory.
It is a memorial containing inside the remains of the Mexican Independence War (1810-1821)
insurgents like Miguel Hidalgo, Father Morelos, Vicente Guerrero, and other heroes.
Was dedicated by the former president Porfirio Diaz on September 15th, 1910 to commemorate the first centennial of the war.
