Sengalur Excavated Megalithic burial site

2009-2010 the year excavated site
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has completed excavation of a 2500-year-old megalithic burial site in Sengalur,a remote village in Pudukottai district,where around 500 burial edifices were discovered 10 years ago.The excavation has led to the discovery of artefacts,pottery,beads and bangles,besides the presence of a beadmaking unit.
