house, Grade II Listed (UK)
Built in various stages through the nineteenth century, Jesmond Towers is a large Grade II listed gothic-looking building. It was bought as a home by Charles Mitchell (shipbuilder)in 1869. In 1912 it was converted to La Sagesse Private School until it closed in 2009. Plans are afoot to convert it into expensive houses and flats.
