Situated in the vicinity of the Seremban Lake Gardens is the state library which used to be the State Secretariat Building. Designed by D.B. Hubback, an English architect, it was built in 1912 with the assistance of the state Public Works Department.

The architecture of this whitewashed building is a clear reflection of Negeri Sembilan's colonial era. Although built without piles, it still stands strong.
