The Gym was a famous gym for power-lifters in the Twin Cities, including several who became famous professional wrestlers: Jesse "The Body" Ventura, The Road Warriors: Animal (Joseph Laurinaitis) & Hawk (Michael Hegstrand), Curt Hennig, Ravishing Rick Rude (Richard Rood), and had Hulk Hogan as a member. It also had Joane Hoffenspirger - Ms. America & Ms. World, and Pete Moen, IFBB Pro Bodybuilder. It started in a basement and eventually moved here.

It was repossessed by the bank in May 2011 and closed, reopened in June 2011 under new management as Leone's The Gym but then closed again in September 2011.
