UOM is the only gov. funded 'technology university' in Sri Lanka. It has 3 faculties; Engineering, Architecture & Information Technology & a Institute of Technology. University web; www.mrt.ac.lk, Library; lib.mrt.ac.lk.
ITUM (Institute of Technology University Moratuwa) ,also located here which is conducting the national leading technician diploma(NDT) in Engineering.
