This is the place where I used to take a bus to go to Purulia first and then from Purulia to Ranchi by another bus. I used to walk from Senera to Chinpina early in the morning. I have never counted how many times I had taken a bus at Chinpina but a rough guess should be at least more than 30 times in six years. On my return trip from Ranchi to Senera I used to take trains mostly and get down at Bero Station.

When I was a student of Madhutati school, Krishna Banerjee who taught us in Class Five was our home teacher. I remember him specially for teaching us English. He used to use a big screen with pictures that had English names and we had to remember those English words.

I forgot to emphasise that Krishna Banerjee lived in Chinpina and he used to walk from Chinpina to Madhutati.

While I was a student in Madhutati school I used to borrow books from Madhutati public library, mostly on Sundays. In this library I met a young man some years older than me. He became my friend and he would walk with me on my way back to Senera upto Kara Danga and we used to discuss about many things at that time. He was slightly eccentric but he was very knowledgeable. He was the person who told me about a few students from Madhutati who were studing in some colleges in Ranchi. It happened that after my school final exams I wanted to get admitted in Bankura Christian college but I was late and so could not get admitted there although I had very high marks. Our school was in Bihar and Bankura was in West Bengal. At that time I remembered what my friend from Mdhutati told me about Ranchi and soon I got admitted in St. Xavier's college. I had forgotten my friend's name in the meantime but from the comments made by Santanu it reminded me that the name of my Madhutati friend was Pravakar Dasgupta who might be his uncle. It is very interesting.
