Ruins of a cottage built circa 1750 and overlying the remains of a prehistoric village (see SW 42 NW 19). The cottage appears to have had two phases of occupation, with the second ending circa 1850. It is built of granite and the surviving walls stand to a height of 1.87 metres. Evidence for a internal timber partition suggests that the building was divided into two rooms. The west room contained the fireplace while a dairy occupied the north east corner of the east room. Outside, an L-shaped wall adjoining the east wall defines a small privy, thought to be a later addition. The cottage was described as roofless in 1867.
