Monte potash

The vaste hill of the potash mine Neuhof Ellers, in the vernacular also „potash mountain“ or „Monte potash“ mentioned, consists of approx. 50 million tons sodium chloride (common salt) and calcium sulfate (gypsum) predominantly and is thus one of the largest dumps of Europe. The highest point of the waste dump is appropriate for approx. 500 m over standard height zero.
