The Columbus Road Bridge was built by the Public Works Administration, dedicated in 1940 and still bears a bronze plaque declaring it the "Cuyahoga River Improvement Columbus Rd. Bridge."
It was designed by famed Cleveland engineer Wilbur Watson, who also conceived the Lorain-Carnegie (Hope Memorial) Bridge, the Goodyear Airdock hangar in Akron and numerous other spans.
The speed limit is 25 miles per hour.
