Nogawa Park (Chofu)

One of Tokyo's most beautiful public parks; straddles three cities - Mitaka, Chofu and Koganei. Opened in June 1980. Area: 39.9
hectares (99 acres). 8450 trees: including oak (sawtooth and Konara), maple, dogwood, keyaki (Japanese zelkova), red pine,
sakura (cherry tree), tulip tree, Japanese Judas tree, cedar, and camphor.

Nogawa Park was formerly a golf course owned and operated from the early- to mid-1960's by the International Christian
University until the land was sold to the Tokyo metropolitan government in 1974. The layout of the short-lived golf course can

Prior to developing the land into a golf course, ICU operated a dairy farm here.
