Built 1938 as the residence of Wesley Sears, member of the retail family. In 1954 it was converted into the Country Squire restaurant, much beloved of Lake County residents until its closure in 2013. It was purchased, and then torn down, by Northwestern Lake Forest hospital to make way for future expansion.
