Created in 1873 as Rube&Co to produce vegetable parchment. Taken over in 1936 by Unilever and after WW II expanded to up to 1000 employees producing mainly packaging for themargarine, ice cream and dairy industry. 1992 taken over by the Dutch Van Leer group and eventually sold to the Finnish Huthamaki group in 1999 who closed the factory in 2006.
