The dam for this lake on White Oak Run was built in the mid 1960s. In the mid-1990's it had to be repaired after flooding.
About a half to two-thirds of the surrounding area comprises two subdivisions, White Oak Lake North and White Oak Lake. Both were developed and sold by B.K. Haynes. It is stocked with fish, but the fishing is private. There are more houses on the north side of the lake.
